Just Around The Corner

Seven days.

Seven days until I leave for the country of Japan. I've got my large wad of Yen bills, passport, Japanese rail pass and all the essentials taken care of. Thanks to Ace for letting me use his backpack during the trip, hopefully it'll be big enough.

I'll be posting videos, pictures and blogs about what we're up to while I'm in Nagoya. Keep up to speed here.

Japan

In the month of December I will be on my way to Nagoya, Japan.

I'll be visiting my buddy Mike, seeing the sites and meeting the people. My challenge is to take only ONE bag with me, so I'm currently on the hunt.

So far I've been using japan-guide.com as a great source for travel tips and advice.

I'll be posting pictures and videos when I travel, yes it is a ways away, but its never too early to start.

Panda Bears = Lung Cancer

I really want a puppy.

I found this video on youtube that I'm addicted to now:

Life has been a changin' for not just myself but all of my friends. People losing their significant others, new jobs, moving to different place/back home, marathons...just a very crazy time in life. However, I like to think that life does a high Y and then a low Y on the XY graph we call life; something low is always followed by a high. Most of us are ready for that to happen.

This post is pretty much a vent btw.

Women are crazy.

Do Pineapples Turn Red?

I've been listening to a freakin' orgasm of audio for the past few weeks compliments of M83. The new album "Saturdays = Youth" is great! So please check it out.

I'm still tied for first in the bowl pool. We have a game tonight so lets hope Texas takes out Ohio State by at least 10 points.

I've finished designing those wedding invitations so another positive. Starting more freelance as we speak. I shall keep you updated.

PS: ASAV has gotten back together in a way and we are currently now in the process of writing new music. Should be quite different from what you've seen in the past.

Football and Fantastic

I'm currently tied for 1st place with 6 other people in a NCAA College Football Bowl Pool put on by Peter Jacobson (yes the golfer). The winner gets $700 bucks (65+ people at $20.00 each to enter) - so please pray for me and I will be able to buy you a drink at the bars.

Right now I'm designing wedding invitations for my buddy Ace's sister's wedding (Adam > Ace > Nina - a family tree if you will). The event will be taking place in Vail, CO so hopefully we can get a nice outdoorsy feel and aesthetic developed for her. I will post some comps later on in the week. Also I've been working on the logo for Nine Leaves and its looking quite promising. The next part of the puzzle is to develop a client base which in this economic status is proving to be quite slow. Again, comps of the logo will be posted later...but here is a basic idea I had that was very very early in the development:

On a side note, my good friend Ryan Humm just finished a reel of his trip to Asia in which he taught English to Japanese students for about 10 months - thought I'd share with you all so ENJOY!
